The total AMC site measures 64 hectares, with the present buildings occupying about 450,000 square meters of floor space. In the initial business park development phase, AMC is creating 100,000 square meters of new space for laboratories and offices. Furthermore, land will be available for Greenfield developments, and an incubator for start-ups and small companies is being established.

The AMC Campus is currently being developed into a Medical Business Park, with focus on medical and education related organizations. AMC’s goal is to attract Life Sciences companies active in biopharmaceuticals, medical devices, and patient care systems, and to promote the creation of new businesses.

AMC facilitates start-up companies and helps newly established companies in various ways. The Technology Transfer Office (TTO) facilitates patenting, partnering, due diligence, and control in relation to all (commercial) management aspects of research findings, technology transfer, and the foundation of spin-off companies. Start-ups will be offered small and affordable basic units (80 – 120 m2) by AMC, which plans to create as much space as possible for incubators in the Medical Business Park.

AMC also has full ownership of BDDA, AMC internal entity for participation of AMC spin offs. Through its financial participation, BDDA has already facilitated the start-up phase and initial growth of companies like Macrozyme, AMT, Primagen, AIMM Therapeutics, Hep-Art Medical Services, Valetta Helath and Microvision Medical.
